I just finished checking my web access logs and again we have broken another Site Hit Record.
Yesterday we had 322 unique hits or individual people visit the site. It’s awesome how the weather brings traffic to this little ol’ web site.

Feb 2010 Snowstorm(YES) or Blizzard(Not Yet).
As I type this, the snow is falling very heavily outside right now. I currently have 9.5 inches, with a total of 30 possible before this storm is over. I have been so busy getting the “weather cottage” ready for this snowstorm, that I have not been able to post much lately. I am going to try and keep the snow total page up to date over the next 24 hours. So bare with me.
If anyone wants to share their snow totals with me, please drop me an email or comment here on the blog.
So I have heard some sources in the media call this a blizzard. I have yet to see those conditions, so at this point we have to call it a snowstorm. I really hate when the media “over-hypes” weather conditions just for the sake of ratings.

Thanks to everyone for checking www.mountcrawfordweather.org out this weekend.

Colder Weather is on it’s way
It looks like the later part of this week, it’s going to get colder. Winter is here. Make sure you take care of your pets, and that your home heating system is operating efficiently. It is also time to get out those thick coats, gloves, and hats.

Beauty of a day
It’s been a very pretty pre-fall weekend. It has been an awesome weekend to get out and enjoy the last fleeting days of summer, and get those yard and garden projects done.
I expect we will see some light rain in the later portion of the week, just enough to help the fall leaves to start falling off the trees.
If anyone gets any good photographs of the fall foliage, send me a copy and I will post it up here on the site.

A good soaking
This weekend we had a good soaking rain, close to 2 inches have fallen. These changing weather patterns will likely bring in the fall season to our area soon. It’s had been awhile since we have had an “all day” rain like that one on Saturday.
I guess it will also soon be time for the local farmers to set out and sell their pumpkins, for the children to carve. Before you know it Halloween will be here.

Brrr, what season is this again?
Looking at the High today of 69.3 so far. I thought that perhaps there was malfunction in the site. Boy I was wrong, where did summer go?
