...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS
EVENING...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of western Virginia, including the following area,
Augusta.
* Until 8 PM EDT this evening
* Emergency management reports that the Toms Branch Dam and Mills
Creek Dam remain elevated due to recent heavy rainfall. If these
dams overflow into their spillways, it would cause flooding
downstream on Back Creek and the South River.
Instructions:
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
